Project Angel Food had our Annual Angel Awards Gala on Saturday, September 14, 2019 at our headquarters in Hollywood. One of LA’s most enduring events on the summer calendar, the gala is hosted in our parking lot which is transformed into a spectacular outdoor ballroom under the stars! Project Angel Food celebrates 30 years of service – preparing and delivering 12 million medically tailored meals to the most vulnerable in our community.

Actor, producer, author and advocate Jamie Lee Curtis received the Project Angel Food Humanitarian Angel Award, and philanthropists and skincare creationists of Retrouve and Kiehl’s Since 1851, Jami Morse Heidegger and Klaus Heidegger were honored with the Project Angel Food Leadership Award.

“Jamie Lee Curtis and Jami and Klaus Heidegger have been involved with Project Angel Food for well over two decades and they are not afraid to throw on an apron, roll-up their sleeves and get involved,” says Executive Director Richard Ayoub.

The 30^th anniversary also included a special appearance by Marianne Williamson, Presidential hopeful and founder of Project Angel Food.

California legend Danny Trejo curated a special fiesta menu for the night with his culinary team.
